Over 70,000 people attended the street circuit in the south of Buenos Aires this Sunday, where Franco Riva won the first round of the TC2000 YPF Energía Positiva 2026 Championship in a historic day for Argentine motorsport. The race marked the category's return to a Buenos Aires street circuit after 13 years. Today, with the work at the racetrack, we have recovered this proposal, for which we worked for more than two months. Right next to it is the Oscar y Juan Gálvez racetrack, where we made a record investment of 108 million dollars and are renewing the pits, the paddock, the layout, the asphalt, and all its technology. This is a very good starting point for what's to come: next year's MotoGP and the dream of Formula 1, which we hope will come true. During the weekend, the teams and mechanics worked on setting up the cars, while drivers and technicians toured the circuit to study every detail of the layout before the on-track activities. In addition to the race, the public enjoyed the Fan Zone with Formula 1 simulators, exhibitions of classic cars and motorcycles, replicas of racing cars, an exhibition on the history of the Buenos Aires racetrack, a beer garden, gastronomic proposals, and games for children. In the paddock, a crane lifted groups of 20 people to a height of 30 meters on a circular platform to observe the circuit from above and take photographs. "Buenos Aires is the most beautiful city in the world and always offers great attractions for residents and tourists. The 2,509-meter layout combined General Roca and Escalada avenues with a section of the City Park and allowed the cars to exceed 250 kilometers per hour on the main 952-meter straight," reported the Argentine News Agency. More than 70,000 people followed the race for free from the public space located on Avenida Roca, in a day that included attractions, entertainment, and gastronomic proposals for families. The podium was completed by Emiliano Stang and Gabriel Ponce de León in a race that was decided in the final stages. "We are very happy with the organization of the race, with the category, and with the people: 70,000 people came to enjoy the party. We want to continue promoting the south with entertainment, shows, and, in this case, motors. A very nice and demanding race," said Emiliano Stang. "It was a beautiful date, which treated us very well."
